On the touring part of your holiday, you will have a tour escort or local guides accompanying you. Before and after the tour you will travel independently. This will allow you to have the freedom to explore and visit sights on your own as well as benefit from the knowledge of the local guides on the touring part of the holiday.

When will I meet the tour escort/ guide?
 

Tours in Ireland: On our partly guided rail tours in Ireland, you will meet up with representatives at the railway station in Dublin, then onboard the trains a tour escort will accompany you. When you arrive at the destination you will be met by a local guide who will be with you on the coach touring part. Should the tour include several destinations and train journeys it may be that you will meet up with different local guides at the different locations.

On the activity tours you will meet up with your guide after breakfast on the first touring day and on the cruises you will meet up with the skipper and crew at the harbour.

Tours in France: On our partly guided tours in France, you will travel independently before and after the tour. You will meet up with your tour escort or local guides on the first day of the touring part of the holiday at the meeting points specified in your travel documents. Should the tour include several destinations it may be that you will meet up with different local guides at the different locations.

Tours in Italy:  On our partly guided tours in Italy, you will travel independently before and after the tour. You will meet up with your tour escort or local guides on the first day of the touring part of the holiday at the meeting points specified in your travel documents. Should the tour include several destinations it may be that you will meet up with different local guides at the different locations.

 

Which part of the holiday will be independent?

The transfers to and from the airport as well as the first and last night of the tour. If you have added additional nights before or after the touring part of the holiday these are also on an independent basis.

Will I meet a representative from Authentic Europe during my trip?

As we offer tours to multiple countries throughout Europe, we do not have staff available to meet with you in person. Please rest assured, however, that we are always available on the phone and email during office hours and through our emergency phone outside of office hours should you require assistance during your travels.

Are airport/ railway station and hotel transfers included?

No transfers are included, but you can book your airport transfer as an additional service, this is also possible to book locally after arrival. The transfer from the hotel to the railway station can be booked with the hotel after arrival. Information on how to get to your hotel and to the railway station using local transport will be provided with the travel documents. It is generally very easy and convenient to get to and from the airport or railway station by public transport as we use centrally located hotels.

How will I find the way?

We will provide you with a detailed travel itinerary, including information on how to get from the airport to the hotel, from your hotel to the train station, ferry terminal etcetera. We also provide exact details on how to change from one mode of transport to another during your trip (from train to hotel to airport etc.)

Will anyone take care of my luggage?

No luggage transport or assistance is included in the tour price, each person is responsible for his/ her own luggage. There is space allocated for the luggage onboard the different modes of transport (one suitcase and one carry-on per person). The drivers will be happy to assist with the luggage in and out of the vehicle during the included transfers and prebooked transfers.

What are the possible travel dates for this tour?

The partly guided tours have fixed departure dates but extra nights can be added before and after the tour.

What is included in the tour price?

An overview of the services included can be found specified for each tour (at the bottom of the tour page under `services included´).

Can I add additional hotel nights?

Extra nights can be added when submitting the tour reservation through our website. For partly guided tours extra nights can only be added before and after the tour. Extra nights before the start of the tour or after the end of the tour can also be added until the due date of the final payment by sending an email to info@authentic-europe.com. An amendment fee of EUR 50,- will be added for adding extra nights after you have received the travel documents.

Can I exclude hotel nights?

No nights can be removed for the partly guided tours.

Can I get a senior discount on your tours?

We can unfortunately not offer any senior discount on the prices published on our website as our contracted rates with our suppliers cannot be combined with any discounts.

What is the child reduction on the partly guided tours?

The discount varies on different tours, to find the exact price for all travellers for a specific tour please enter a travel date, travellers, room type and hotel category.

How and when will I receive my travel documents and tickets?

All travel documents will be sent by e-mail approximately one month prior to travel and after final payment is received. For last-minute bookings, we will send the travel documents as soon as possible after having received full payment.

Included in the travel documents are a detailed travel itinerary, an address list, travel vouchers and ferry schedules. You will receive a travel voucher and/or e-ticket for each service included in the package tour. These vouchers/e-tickets are your proof of payment and must be presented during your trip.

Orijana is born in Bosnia and Herzegovina but came to Norway in 1994. She has been in charge of Authentic Scandinavia's accounts since 2011. In 2013 she became the Chief Accountant of Haman Group.
