Yorkshire Dales from York

Travel through the Yorkshire countryside and discover five of the famous Dales. On this day tour, admire the views at the Aysgarth Fall, Bolten Castle and Hawes – the unofficial capital of the Dales.

Embark on this day tour through Yorkshire and discover why this part of England is called “God’s Own Country”. Guided by a local and knowledgeable guide, explore first the market town of Masham in Lower Wensleydale before heading towards Castle Bolton where you will find some of the best scenery in Yorkshire.

The tour continues to the Aysgarth Falls which has a view of the famous waterfalls of the River Ure. At lunchtime, you will stop at the village of Reeth where you will be able to purchase lunch. In the afternoon, visit the charming market town of Hawes, home to the Wensleydale Creamery, famous for its array of cheeses.

On the return to York, you will have time to admire the Dales scenic route and the picturesque and classic Dales villages, with stops along the way to photograph the beautiful landscape.
