Continue your train journey to Kilkenny situated on the river Nore. Kilkenny was once the first capital of Ireland. Enjoy some free time to explore this medieval city and its castle on your own.
Board another train to Waterford, a city founded in 914 AD by the Vikings, the city is located on the banks of the river Suir. Enjoy a guided tour of the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre where you will see craftsmen working on the traditional task of blowing and cutting the crystal glass. Time for lunch at the visitor centre (not included).
In the afternoon, the train travels west through the beautiful Suir Valley and town of Tipperary before changing trains in Limerick for the return return to Dublin.
