North York Moors and Whitby from York

Discover the Yorkshire countryside and learn about the ancient traditions and legends of the national park thanks to your knowledgeable guide. On this tour, you will explore the North York Moors National Park, known for the stunning views of heather moorlands. There will be a brief stop to see Goathland Station which you might recognize from the first Harry Potter movie.

At lunchtime, you will stop in Whitby, a traditional seaside town where you can have fish and chips – the local speciality. You will also have the opportunity then to explore this historic town. Visit the ruins of Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for the novel ‘Dracula’, and wander around the town and harbour. Before making your way back to York, you will explore furthermore the heart of the moors while learning about the natural history of these beautiful landscapes.
