Join a full-day guided tour to Normandy from Paris to discover the highlights and rich history of this western part of France. Visit the D-Day beaches, the American Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, German bunkers and the Operation Overlord Museum.
Meet your guide and the rest of the small group at a central location in Paris. After a two-hour drive through the French countryside, you will arrive in Normandy. The first stop of the day will be the Atlantic Wall where you will follow the guide into the German bunkers. Then you will go to Omaha beach, where one of the toughest attacks took place in June 1944. The last stop before lunch will be the Operation Overlord Museum, where you will delve into the details of Operation Overlord.
After some time for lunch (not included), you will leave for Pointe du Hoc. A land scarred by explosions and attacks. You will then stop at a local cider house, where you will have the opportunity to taste Calvados and cider from Normandy. You will end the day with a visit to the American cemetery, where the guide will share some stories of the bravery and heroism of the fallen Americans soldiers. After a memorable day in Normandy, you will return to Paris.
