Visit the highest vantage point in Europe, at 3883 metres, right next to the Matterhorn and enjoy views of the Italian, French and Swiss Alps. At the Glacier Palace you will learn about glaciology and how glaciers are created.
A self guided half day experience where you will travel by gondolas and cable cars to the summit and the fantastic panorama that awaits. In a tunnel through the rocks and ice of the Klein Matterhorn a modern cinema lounge showing a range of film clips of for example freeride skiing and the local flora and fauna.
The Glacier Palace at the end of the tunnel is a mystical world of ice and snow almost 15 metres below the surface. Here you can, if you want, walk through a glacier crevasse and see impressive ice sculptures. The air is thin so take your time here, there is also time to relax in the highest restaurant in Europe.
