Join a guided day trip from London to the famous White Cliffs of Dover. Explore the Kent countryside and marvel at Dover Castle before enjoying a walking tour of Canterbury.
After meeting with your driver/guide, start your day trip with a stop in Greenwich and a visit at Cutty Sark, an impressive 19th century sailing ship. Your guide will tell you all about the ship and Greenwich and its role in British history.
Then take a scenic drive through the Kent countryside and admire the stunning landscapes which gave Kent the nickname “Garden of England”. Stop in the beautiful village of Chilham and visit a traditional English pub, a manor house and a 15th century church all grouped together in the charming Chilham square.
Continue to the White Cliffs of Dover renowned for their symbolism in British and allied military history. If the sky is clear, you may be able to see the French coast! You will then arrive at Dover Castle, where you will have the option of entering the castle for a couple of hours to explore the castle grounds, climb the tower and walk on the walls (entry is not included).
The last stop of the day is Canterbury. Enjoy free time in one of England’s most beautiful and historic cities. Venture through the cobbled streets and visit the stunning cathedral. A map and recommendations will be provided so you can make the most of your time. Then join a walking tour to explore Canterbury’s hidden gems and learn more about its history.
