The fifteen-kilometre route encompasses significant sites of Berlin Wall history, such as the location where the first checkpoint fell at Bornholmer Strasse in 1989, the Berlin Wall memorial, the government district, Checkpoint Charlie, and one of the few remaining watch towers.
